Our therapists offer a variety of treatments to cater to your specific needs and ensure all of our clients receive the best care possible.
Swedish Massage
Swedish massage is known for its gentle and relaxing nature, using the highest quality oils and lotions. It affects the superficial layers of muscle by using long strokes, kneading, compression and friction techniques, combined with active and passive movement of the joints. During your treatment our massage therapists will often use this therapy to warm the body before performing deeper techniques or on its own to increase relaxation, blood circulation and general body awareness. Swedish massage has been used by practitioners around the world for thousands of years to aid in healing.

Myofascial Release
Myofascial release is a type of massage therapy that can release restrictions, adhesions, and tension within the layers of connective tissue in the body. Fascia is the connective tissue that lines and connects every muscle, tendon, ligament, bone, and organ in the body. When restrictions and adhesions are present you may experience pain and reduced range of motion. Myofascial release techniques are slow, gentle, and sustained, and help release restrictions and potentially stored trauma to improve physical and emotional well being, as well as a reduction of pain and an increase in range of motion.

Prenatal Massage
Massage therapy during pregnancy has been proven to be a safe and natural way to alleviate discomfort and pain, and bring about a sense of well being through relaxation. During pregnancy your body experiences a multitude of changes; As your uterus expands with the weight of the growing baby, there is more stress on your back, neck, shoulders, and abdominal muscles. Pregnancy hormones relax your ligaments to allow the pelvic bones to shift and open for childbirth, causing aches and pain in the hips and pelvic area. Many expectant mothers experience swelling in hands, legs, and feet. The valuable therapeutic effects of prenatal massage is a wonderful way to cope with these changes and ease discomfort, reduce stress, improve sleep, and help you connect with your changing body and growing baby.

TMJ Massage
Temporomandibular joint (TMJ) disorders are often the result of inflamed and painful chewing muscles around your jaw. Our massage therapists are trained to ask the right questions and use special tests to figure out if a TMJ massage is right for you. The treatment generally begins with a shoulder, neck, and scalp massage to illicit maximum relaxation, followed by gentle treatment of the face muscles. Based on your wants and needs the practitioner may follow this with an intra-oral component, using specific compression to release tension in and around the TMJ, complemented with a warm towel. This type of massage can often offer relief from pain, disfunction, headaches, and discomfort caused by arthritis, a jaw injury, clenching or grinding your teeth.

Hot Stone Massage
Our hot stone massage is performed by a registered massage therapist, using the traditional massage techniques you’re used to, with the added benefits of heat and pressure from smooth basalt stones. During your treatment your therapist will use the hot stones as an extension of their hands to glide across and warm your muscles. Some stones will be placed on specific points of the body to allow the heat to penetrate deeper into the muscle to promote relaxation and healing. This combination of therapeutic massage and heat helps to ease stress and tension in the body, improve circulation, and calm the mind.
Please note that hot stone treatments are not suitable for everyone. Individuals with medical conditions such as diabetes, neuropathy, circulatory disorders, cancer or any underlying health concerns should consult their doctor before considering this type of treatment.

Trigger Point Therapy
Trigger points are essentially hyper-irritable areas within the muscle that can cause pain, discomfort, and may refer pain to other areas of the body. Our massage therapists have specific training in releasing these points during your treatment to relieve tension. During your treatment your therapist will use relaxing Swedish massage techniques to warm and prepare your muscles for the deeper pressure. Although this type of treatment can be uncomfortable at times, our therapists will communicate with you throughout to adjust pressure within your pain tolerance. You may be offered a heating pad afterwards or as part of recommended home care. Stretching will be encouraged during and after treatment to alleviate pain, and improve mobility and range of motion.

Deep Tissue Massage
Deep tissue massage is a therapeutic massage technique similar to Swedish massage, but targets the deeper layers of muscle and connective tissues in your body. The therapist will use a variety of techniques to apply sustained pressure and slow deep strokes to target these areas. During your treatment your therapist will communicate with you to adjust pressure to meet your specific needs and remain in your comfort zone. Targeting the deeper tissues can help your body relax by releasing tension, reducing pain, increasing flexibility, and can relieve muscle spasms.
